On Friday several of the big banks reported earnings that were exceptionally strong, highlighting their strength in times of turmoil.  I believe that much of hysteria we saw in March was manufactured panic to a large extent.  Several horribly managed banks were taken out by bank runs and the problems were extrapolated incorrectly to the rest of the industry.  As the earnings season continues, we will get a lot more data, particularly into how the smaller regional banks are faring.  My prediction is that the data will be more favorable than expectations, but there will be some true signs of trouble for a few of them that endured the hardest bank runs.  Below are our latest three research reports on banks that have reported earnings and I’ll continue to put more out as earnings season progresses. I hope that you enjoy!
